Steppy Support

Quick answers for Apple Health, widgets, friends, and account privacy.

My steps are not updating

Open iOS Settings, choose Privacy & Security, Health, Steppy, and confirm Steps access is enabled. Then open Steppy and pull down on Today. Background updates are scheduled by iOS and are not guaranteed to be immediate.

A friend’s count looks old

Steppy shows when each shared count was last read. iOS decides when to wake apps for HealthKit updates, and force-quitting Steppy prevents background delivery until the app is opened again.

Widget refresh timing

Widgets display the latest cached step snapshot. WidgetKit controls refresh timing to protect battery life, so Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets do not update continuously or in true real time.

Control or delete shared data

Turn step sharing off from your Steppy profile to clear shared totals. To remove your complete social account and cloud data, open Profile, Settings, Account, then choose Delete Account and Cloud Data.

Report or block a profile

Open the ellipsis menu beside a Global Top 5 profile or in a friend profile. Reporting sends a private moderation record. Blocking hides the profile, removes any friendship, and prevents new requests or nudges between the two accounts.
